The Secret Backdoor to Adding Connections

Have you ever wondered if you are missing some of the functions on LinkedIn that may help you with your Business?

It definitely is hard to keep up with all of the changes and functionality on social Media Sites.  This is something I do at least weekly, to make sure I stay up-to-date on all of the tricks, tips and changes that I share with you bimonthly.

In this issue, I’m going to share with you one of the best kept secrets for adding new connections.

If you want to connect with someone on LinkedIn, you have always had to say how you know them in your connection request.  If you are trying to meet new people on LinkedIn, selecting a group you share in common was previously an option for saying how you know that person when connecting.  That option has recently vanished.

Fear not.  Here is a backdoor trick for getting past it.

  1. Visit the profile of the person you are looking to connect with.
  2. Click the star (relationship) button to save them as a connection
  3. Copy their name
  4. Then click on Connections on the top bar
  5. Paste their name in the search bar in the middle of the page
  6. Hover below their location and click on connect
  7. Then type your note to connect and send.

Well that’s it for this Issue.  Next time I’ll write about another solution to problems you might be having and how to reverse them. If you need step by step instructions on how to implement this and other ideas I give on Creating Customers.
